Finals

I just have to make it through 2 1/2 more days and it's summer for me! I am kinda at the end of my rope at this point :/ I'm so overwealmed but I can do it! After this shift is over then I only have one more day of work. Of course that's sorta a bad thing because I haven't had luck finding a summer job yet.
On the way to campus I stopped at the vet to get cat food, $40 for 10 pounds of food :o Crazy! Willy better be happy I love him so much! The special food is helping emensly, he was down to like 3 pounds before I started it, now he's twice that. Of course Oz is a good 15 pounds and he's lost weight with the new food :)
I need to find a job quick, I'd take anything at this point if anyone were hiring, but it's been awhile since they have been. All I have planned so far is a week in NYC with Cathy and Damon! Yay! I miss Cathy. Plus Damon and I are driving there so we will be stopping in Pittsburg along the way for the night and spend a day at the Andy Warhol Museum!!! I've wanted to go there for atleast the last 6 years and I finally get to :) :) :) Other than my trip to see Cathy my only other real plans are the chalk walk and cleaning every inch of my apartment. Wait that's not true, I also plan to do volunteer work and figure out what I want to be when I grow up. Wish me luck on finals, going back to working at work now ;)

Thoughts of Chalk

This is the final blog required for my technology class however I'm going to continue to use it because I've found I like having somewhere to talk about school and general life stuff that my family and friends can read. This semester has been a difficult one and I'm happy that it is coming to a close. Only two more weeks and then it's summer. During summer I am planing on volunteering and basically spending time figuring out "what I want to be when I grow up".

I am also planning on doing the Chalk Walk again :) It's July 10 & 11th on main street if anyone wants to stop by it is always very interesting to see everyones work! The squares are 8 feet by 8 feet and it's a good twelve hour day but I love it. Our square last year was a rose window design done in bright colors. I think it turned out really amazing. This year the award categories are: Fort Wayne Architecture, Fort Wayne Native American History, Best reproduction of artwork relating to Social Realsim, Trompe l`oeil, People's Choice. My partner in crime wants to do the architecture one however I really do not. Out of the categories I like the social realism or trompe the best.Right now we agree that we won't go for any of the awards and just make an awesome square that we like and the people walking by will. I am currently thinking to make it look like you are looking down a hole at the Winnie the Pooh characters because well I love them :) All I had to work with for an example of what I was thinking was paint so it's terrible, but you get the idea. Now I have talked way too much.

Now to just make it through the next two weeks!!!

Changes

I've been contemplating changing majors. Right now my major is Elementary Education and Mild Intervention. I love my teaching classes and love working with the students. I am thinking of changing to a Social Work major to become a childrens' advocate, but I'm not sure. All I know is that I want to work with children and I prefer to work one-on-one or with small groups of children. I'd like to work with Autistic, Gifted, ED, Physically-handicapped or Mentally-handicapped children. That's about all I know :/ So what do you think my options are?

Sammy Whammy

I got to spend from Tuesday night to Sunday afternoon with my 14 year old brother Sam :) He's so grown up looking and acts like a teenager for sure. His height is now 6'1" and he's all arms, legs and mouth. It was wonderful seeing him! I drove out and got him from my mothers and spent a few days in Fort Wayne just us. Then we drove back down to my mothers with our baby brother Joe for the three day weekend. I loved seeing both my boys and wish it were possible to do more often!
