Willy Boy

There are no words to describe the heartache I feel to of said goodbye to my friend and shadow of the past 19 years yesterday. I am in disbelief that he is gone. I know it was time, I just wish that made it any easier.

Thanksgiving 2011

I am thankful that both my brothers were able to be home for Thanksgiving this year.

I am thankful for the baby having a strong healthy heartbeat.

I am thankful the baby will have two fantastic uncles.

I am thankful that my mom is a very excited grandmother to be.

I am thankful for the rest of the family that will love this child.

I am thankful for my family and friends.

I am thankful that even though things can look bleak at times everything tends to be okay in the end :)

Mr. Basketball

I was a very happy sister to be able to catch one of Sammy's basketball games on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. We all went to the game and he wouldn't acknowledge our existence there, but I love the kid anyways ;) He is awesome and I am impressed by all his hard work!

Sad Day :(

One of the children at the group home died this afternoon. May he run, talk, dance, sing and play wherever he is now. May he also look after the other children in the home and know that we all loved him very much.

Happy Halloween!

Little Joe and I went to Fort Waynes Downtown Fright Night this year and we had a blast! We started with a tour of the tunnels under the Embassy. Tony did that with us. They had the tunnels dark, just lit by little red lights. They told ghost stories throughout. Joe was gripping my hand for dear life, it was hilarious. Then Tony left and Joe and I headed to the old jail. It was kinda lame, but Joe and I amused ourselves there anyways :)

Then we headed back towards where most of the activities were and found some spiffy chairs where Joe was very seriously looking over the map and deciding the plan from there.

From there we headed to Parkview Field and did the scavenger hunt which Joe was awesome at :) Then we had dinner downtown at Damon's hotel and since he was working he came by to say hi. After that it was time for the Rocky Horror Picture Show! Joe was hilarious, he loved everything being throw and wants to do it again.

Then this past weekend Ron and I carved pumpkins! Mine is simple but I like it :)

Then Ron showed off with his ;)

Hope you had a Happy Halloween!

It's that time of year...

School is about to start back up and I'm ready. I have my books and new glasses, therefor I am ready for many hours of study time to come!

Summer shift is over at the group home and now I'm working weekends there. Classes start the 29th so I have some time to relax and enjoy myself between :)

Chalk Walk 2011

WE WON!!! Okay to say I'm happy about that is an understatement :) We were just hoping to place this year or get an honorable mention so it came as a great shock to win 1st place :)

Here we are getting started at mapping the square out and getting the basic outlines of the blocks.

Then filling in the base coat layer.

After we had the base coat done we went home for the night. The next day we spent coloring, shading and perfecting :)

To get the best 3-D effect you had to stand on the X.

From other angles it looks kinda funny...

After we were done with our mere ten hours of work on it we both went home for a bit to shower and take a nap. Then neither of us could stay away so we came back and hung out near our square where we could listen to people compliment it as they walked by. It made us happy :)

The next day we came back prepared to fix whatever the night away had messed up and found our square in perfect shape this year, so that was nice. So we spent the day socializing with other squares and counting down the hours till judgement time. When the time finally arrived we learned of our winning and were ecstatic!

Weekend of Fun with the Family

Spent the weekend with Sammy, Little Joe and Mom. First Sam, Joe and I went to the Fort Wayne Comic Book Convention. It was not as good as we had hoped, but at least we got to meet Darth Vader ;)

Sam and I spent the evening just us. We went to Firefly to listen to live blues music, hang-out and chat. Then Dinner and then he convinced me to take him to see Super 8. While at Firefly we played chess. I won one game, he won one :)

On Sunday Sam, Mom and I went to the batting cages :)

Joe met us for a bit and we played air hockey. I kicked Sam's butt twice and we might have let Joe win :)

Now Sam is with me for the week, shall be interesting.
