I have an apartment in Fort Wayne with my two cats. Willy is 17 ½ years old and spoiled rotten. I’ve had him since he was a kitten. Oz is about 5 and similarly spoiled. They are both black and white kitties. You will likely hear a bit about them because they are my day to day entertainment. Plus I might be a crazy cat lady in the making? My little brothers are the most important people in my life. I have a 14 year old brother that lives in Tennessee with his father, he’s in 8th grade. His name is Samuel or Sam; I’m the only one that gets away with calling him Sammy. He is really tall! He is Mr. Athlete. He plays football, basketball and even volleyball. He got to play at halftime for the Tennessee Volunteers this past season and said it was the best time of his life. He can tell you everything imaginable about sports and goes to so many training camps and is on so many teams, I got lost long ago trying to keep track.
My baby brother just turned 10, is in 4th grade and he lives in Fort Wayne with his father. His name is Joe; I usually call him Baby Joe. He can read so fast and so far above his age it amazes me and everyone around him. He loves to read, if he could do nothing but read then he’d be the happiest kid on earth. He doesn’t like school though because he gets made fun of and bullied all the time for being different. He is artistic, observant, sensitive and extremely intelligent. His personality is a lot like mine and we get along wonderfully. You will also likely hear a lot about my brothers in the next weeks.
I enjoy art, here is a link to my artwork and you will see why I’m not an art major ;) Still it’s a passion of mine and always will be. I also love to read anything and everything I get my hands on. One of the reasons I applied to work at the library is my love of books. I currently work at the school library so feel free to stop by and introduce yourself in person.
I’ve lived in California half my life and throughout Indiana for the rest. My favorite colors are black, purple and hot pink. Favorite music is the Beatles and Nine Inch Nails. I have a small obsession with Eeyore. My favorite food is Tortellini. Favorite ice cream flavor is Vanilla. If I had 5000 pennies I’d make an amazing design or maybe a tower. Now you know more than you ever wanted to know about me =)
Hey there Andrea (haven't learned how to do the accent), you are one of the nicest library workers I know, and I can appreciate your obsession with books, because I and my family have the same "problem."
ReplyDeleteI also love the Beatles, but will have to leave NIN to you. I loved your chalk walk drawings. I wish I had half your artistic talent.
Hubby and I have two pets as well. A cat, 8yrs old, named Lucy after the Beatles song, and a dog, Pippin, ~6 yrs old, named after the Hobbit from Lord of the Rings.
I can appreciate your love of Tortellini, but I am so obsessed with food I can't pick one single dish. Do you like it from Casa's or simply any kind? I love cooking, but need in a major way to get back on a diet since I broke it over Christmas and am overweight and breaking all the rules for my diabetes (eating too many carbs, etc.).
Well, I'll stop boring you for now, have a great day.
Copy and past works really well for the accent ;) and thanks for calling me nice! I now want to see a photo of you because now that I know I've met you I'm curious as to who you are.
ReplyDeleteThe chalk walk drawing(the rainbow one) took 12 hours to do and that was with a partner. That was my second year doing it and I plan to participate again this year. This next time I swear we will place!
Andrea, you asked how I did with Praxis and I'm writing back to let you know. I did just fine after a bit of brushing up. It is simply a test on basic English, Math and Communication skills. Now, when it comes to Praxis II, that I'm not so sure about... I haven't started prepping for that. With your love for reading, I'm sure you'll do just fine.
ReplyDeletenice to meet you-- you're a good big sis
