My birthday was this past Sunday the 17th =) I threw myself a “board game party”! My boyfriend and I blew up thirty black and purple balloons and tossed them around my apartment. We also made about a million cookies, cut up veggies and cheese. We played the Mad Magazine game and Disney Scene-it. Then my best friend in Fort Wayne showed up about an hour early. He brought me a birthday cake! The three of us played Sorry Sliders(my new favorite game) until others started to arrive.In total there were six of us. It was a good number for playing games, not too many, not too few. We played Password which is apparently a bit like Charades but you can say words that are synonyms. Once the hat was empty we played Seven Deadly Sins. The goal of the game is to gather a chip for every sin by doing dares from the cards when you land on that sin. Always an entertaining game =)
I had a great birthday! Once my friends stopped saying how lame I was for wanting to play games I think they all had fun. They also enjoyed popping the balloons to make me scream :/

I enjoy Blooming Readers. I took two students this semester so I can get more out of it. I thought it was pointless to go for half an hour last semester so this is worth my time.
