Are you KIDding me :)

I really miss my Sammy lately! I haven't seen him since Christmas Break and I miss my little/big brother. I keep hoping he comes home for his spring break at the end of March. He changes so much and so fast and he's grown up so much, I just really want to spend some time with the butt-head :) Tonight I have Baby Joe so that should be fun as always!

I've started my fifty hours for Tee-2 this past week. I'm in a small Catholic School and I'm in a Fifth Grade Classroom. The Fifth grade it totally different than the younger grades. It's more lecture and independent study and the students aren't quite as adorable ;) So far I can tell you I prefer the younger grades like Kindergarten and First grade, but they are still very entertaining and fun. The students couldn't wait to introduce themselves to me, it was hilarious. I can't wait to start actually doing things with my students. I will probably be teaching a Math lesson or two :) So far I've gotten to go to music class, computer class(they did Math Day online, it's pretty awesome), graded a bunch of papers, watched a math lesson and a reading lesson. Can't wait to do more. I have no idea how I'm getting all fifty hours done though because two of the mornings I'm available they have Mass for half of :/ Plus they have Spring Break and I can't be there during ISTEP week.

I'm also enjoying Blooming readers with the kindergartners :) Hopefully the weather stops being mean and making them have delays and cancellations so I get to go every week from now on!

In short I've been enjoying my time with all the kids!!!

Baby Joe

I hung out with my Mom and Joe for a bit this past weekend. Joe saw my webcam and wanted to make his own youtube videos because he apparently loves watching all the toy reviews on it. Never heard of it before but I guess kids show off their latest toys and review if they are cool or not? So we did a whole bunch of videos and he had a ball! I pieced together clips from them. My baby brother Joe and I might be lame, but we are lame together!

Emo blog is Emo

I've been sick the past week. Haven't been to class since leaving in the middle of Literature last Tuesday. Going to at least make it through Tee-2 in the morning! At work right now, so that's a start.

Apparently I wasn't as okay after surgery as I thought. I had my gallbladder removed during Christmas break; which isn't a huge surgery, but not a small one either. So I went from that to five classes, work and all the lovely stuff that comes along with the teaching program. Didn't take me long to get worn down, exhausted and hella sick :/ My temperature stayed around 101 for four days straight which isn't pretty. Then all the doc. had to say was to take it easy and get plenty of rest. I found I get depressed and gripey when left alone and sick for a week. I only really have two friends here in Fort Wayne and neither wanted to chance getting sick, so I was stuck taking care of myself, yay. I miss my best friend so much! I haven't seen her since Spring Break last year and really want to go see her this year but can't figure out how. If my truck would make it then I would totally drive to New York to see her(anyone want to take me?).

Sorry I don't have anything happy and light-hearted to talk about. I can't talk about anything too personal because this is a public blog and that's what my livejournal and well paper journal are for.

Terrible Horrible No Good Very Bad Week :/

It's now Monday so I feel that this horrible week should be over now and I'm crossing my fingers hoping that I'm right. It has been freezing! My truck likes the cold even less than I do and has stalled nearly everyday at some point. It made me late to class twice. It also made me miss Blooming Readers completely, which is the highlight of my week *sad I know*. It also stalled in the middle of a four lane road, which was enjoyable. Even better than that was when I was leaving class and it stalled in the parking lot in front of PJPII and caused people to start honking at me for being in the way *as if I wanted to be stuck there*, luckily a nice young man helped me push it back into the parking spot I was trying to leave from. So please truck start working better, it will get warmer soon!

I also found out on Wednesday that I had to have the Praxis done by the end of January. So I rescheduled it from the end of February to this past Friday. I didn't have time to prepare for it at all like I had wanted to. The Praxis is forever long! I had no idea it was so long. I took it on Friday and I passed the Reading and Math sections. I have to wait to find out about the Writing section, but I'm sure I did fine. It was also a lot easier than they made us believe in Tee-1, I was worried about nothing. By the time I got home that night I just fell into bed from my lovely week.

Then Saturday I went to Damon's house(my best friend in the area). We watched movies and t.v. and lazed about all day, it was fabulous. I saw a Chucky movie for the first time. Then we went out to a bar for less than two hours, apparently neither of us are really into the bar scene. So we went back to his house and played video games. We played Mario Brothers on the Wii, which I lost terribly at. Then we played Wii Sports which is pretty sweet. I kick butt at bowling :) although he still won. It was a good end to a bad week. It was nice to do nothing for a day. Plus since I don't have a television or video games at my place that was a nice change of pace!



I figured out how to do a YouTube video which I'm surprisingly proud of myself for, but hey never thought I'd be able to figure it out ;) It's of my cats. As I said in my first blog post I am on my way to becoming a crazy cat lady. But they listen to me!
