Apparently I wasn't as okay after surgery as I thought. I had my gallbladder removed during Christmas break; which isn't a huge surgery, but not a small one either. So I went from that to five classes, work and all the lovely stuff that comes along with the teaching program. Didn't take me long to get worn down, exhausted and hella sick :/ My temperature stayed around 101 for four days straight which isn't pretty. Then all the doc. had to say was to take it easy and get plenty of rest. I found I get depressed and gripey when left alone and sick for a week. I only really have two friends here in Fort Wayne and neither wanted to chance getting sick, so I was stuck taking care of myself, yay. I miss my best friend so much! I haven't seen her since Spring Break last year and really want to go see her this year but can't figure out how. If my truck would make it then I would totally drive to New York to see her(anyone want to take me?).
Sorry I don't have anything happy and light-hearted to talk about. I can't talk about anything too personal because this is a public blog and that's what my livejournal and well paper journal are for. This is my last unhappy blog, I promise!
Sorry to hear about your post-surgical pain. My husband went through the same surgery and had to move around slowly afterwards. It made him sad because he was used to sleeping curled up with our dog in bed and had to make the dog move off until he was completely recovered. The good news is, it only took him about five weeks to fully recover and he is not nearly as young and spry as you. Of course he had more sick/vacation time to rest, but once you're recovered, I'm sure you'll show him up.
ReplyDeleteI bet you saw some sweet movies
