A local family decided to build giant minions for people to enjoy. They did a great job and I am happy we took the small detour to get our photos with them :)
We met our playgroup at a local orchard for pumpkin picking another day. Not even ten minutes after we arrived Addison fell flat on her face and scrapped her nose really badly. She was not a happy camper.
Even with her big spill I think she still had a good time exploring the pumpkins and riding in wagons.
Then came the really fun part of making our pumpkin masterpieces! For Addison's I cut out stickers and made a Jack-O-Lantern face, then she painted the whole pumpkin, after it was dry I peeled the stickers off and she had her fancy pumpkin :)
Joe and I carved our pumpkins, Addison helped. She thought the seeds looked so yummy that I roasted pumpkin seeds for the first time ever. Addison and especially Joe were fans of that!
Joe's was the best I think. He wanted it to fit on his head, but we underestimated exactly how big his head is. Was pretty close though :)
Addison went trick-or-treating 3 times this year, by the end she had it figured out. First time we went was just us two. We went indoor trick-or-treating at a local library. She kept giving all the candy back to people, but at the end when she received her pinwheel she held onto that! She was a pumpkin for the warm indoor fun.
We went to the park next door for their trick or treating. It was back on a wooded trail and very pretty, Uncle Sam was able to go to that with us. We also went to tent-or-treat, where the Girl Scouts give out candy and treats from their little pink tents, Grandma was able to do that one with us. Addison dressed as Piglet for outdoor fun. I may be biased, but she was the cutest Piglet I've ever seen!
