Joe's Shield

In school they studied Greek history and art and everything Greek for a bit.  The end of the unit project was to make a shield and optional helmet.  The end result was rather impressive!

Joe and I worked together to make the helmet out of paper mache and then he painted it black and green.

Big Joe and Little Joe built the shield out of wood and hardware fixtures.  It was pretty much Joe's dream come true to get to make a battle shield and call it homework ;)  Once it was built I helped him map out what he had drawn onto the large scale of the shield and then he got to work painting.
